Zeitz MOCAA occupies the lower floors of the same 1924 grain silo that the hotel sits above, its concrete structure reworked by Heatherwick Studio. It is the largest museum dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora, spread across more than 100 galleries over nine floors. The museum is public and not-for-profit, built to collect, preserve and exhibit twenty-first century work. Visitors can choose audio tours, guided art tours, architectural tours or sessions designed for children. Guests need only take the lift down; the museum entrance sits directly beneath the hotel lobby.
