The hotel sits at 218 West 50th Street, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue, a short walk from the Times Square billboards and 42nd Street. Opened in 2014, it was the brand's first hotel in America.
Every room holds an XL king bed, a rain shower, and mood lighting set from a bedside tablet in place of switches on the wall. Nothing else competes for space. You lie back, adjust the light from the tablet at the bedside, and let the window carry the rest, midtown lit up beyond the glass.
Guests check themselves in at kiosks set into a lobby built as one continuous lounge, with no front desk to queue at.
