Estate-grown produce and Franschhoek terroir meet across the Great Hall and Loggia

Kitchens at La Residence work from the estate's own gardens, drawing on the Franschhoek Valley's produce and its award-winning wine harvests for whatever the season offers. Guests sit down with the chefs directly to talk through preferences and dietary needs, and menus adjust accordingly rather than running fixed. Meals move between two principal settings: the Great Hall, with its chandeliers and Victorian tiles, and the Loggia, which looks out over the pond. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are all served across these rooms and the wider grounds, including poolside and al fresco spots. Franschhoek itself, a short transfer away, adds a dense concentration of restaurants and cafés for guests who want to range further.
