The Eagle's Lodge

The Eagle's Lodge takes its shape from a ship, its rooms fanning outward like the prow of a 1930s yacht. Guy Oliver designed the one-bedroom suite around that idea, with porthole details, oil paintings of sailing ships and purpose-built furniture made to match the theme. Bed linen runs crisp white and navy, in keeping with the nautical register. The angled layout gives the suite 270-degree views across the London skyline, best appreciated from the wrap-around terrace. It works for sunbathing by day and stargazing after dark. No other suite at The Connaught takes this shape or this view.
